Waitangi Day

We have been learning about Waitangi day.WE had to create a DLO that shows some of the history of the Treaty of Waitangi. Like the signing of the treaty, a protest sign or a comic strip to show our understanding .

Writing W3 T1

This week in writing my goal was - Understand the purpose for writing and how to achieve those purposes.For our create task we had to, Write a procedure on how to wash your hand to create good habits.
This is my work -

How to wash your hands

Goal 

You will have clean hands and will be  free from germs.

What you need 

Warm water 

Soap 

Paper towels of something else to dry your hands with

Method 

1. Turn the tap on and wet your hand under warm water. 

2. Apply enough soap to cover your palm. 

3. Rub your palms together for 20 seconds 

4.Rub the soap in between your fingers  

5. Link the back of your hands together and rub up and down

6.Grab each of your fingers and twist them to rub the soap all around your finger

7.Now rub your palm with your hand

8. Next rinse the soap off with warm water and turn the tap off

9. Finally rinse the soap off with warm water, turn the tap off and dry your hands with a paper towel

2020 Learning

Hello and welcome back to my blog for 2020.In this blog I am going to share my hopes for this year, what I am looking forward to and a highlight from my holidays.

What I am hopeful for - This year I hope to make zones and centrals for all sporting events.I hope to make my first choice leadership group. I also hope to be a good leader and role model to the younger students 

What I am looking forward to - This year  I am looking forward to our school fair, and tech.I am also looking forward to Koro Games as I have never done this before.I am also looking forward to spending time with my friends and making new friends.

What I did in my holidays - In my holidays I went to Kaiteriteri in Kaiteriteri I met up with two of my friends Ruby and Felicity.When I met up with Felicity we went crab hunting.When I met up with Ruby we went paddle boarding.

What did you do in the holidays?

Pool day 🏊

Today I am going to share about pool day.Last Friday year 5/6 and 7/8 went to the pool.We took many buses to get the Waltham pool for our fun day.We left school at 11.15 but arrived at the pool at 11.30.We all got changed and sunblocked up and headed into the pool.There was one pool we were aloud to swim at but there was a water slide we were aloud to go on.With the water slide we had to take turns so there wasn't a big line.Each year group got about 30 mins on the slide then at the end anyone was aloud on it.I had a lot of fun with my friends.Sadly it was only 19 degrees so it was a little cold.

Summer learning journey

This blog is about the summer learning journey,some of you may have heard of it.We are doing it because in the summer holidays there is a summer slide where your learning decreases.This is the taster week to see if we like it and want to do it in the holidays.
