Cultural fun Day

On Monday, the first day of term, we got to do a fun day about 4 different countries. They were China, Japan, Vietnam and Hawaii.

China

In China, we learnt about how they celebrate the new year. In China they celebrate the new year by having a big lantern festival to mark the new year and the new life of China. To celebrate this we made lanterns with big dragon on the inside and this trued out to be an amazing project.

Japan

In Japan, we did a scavenger hunt and there were six challenges. The first challenge was to find out how to say "New years" in Japanese, another one of the challenges was to find out how to make these traditional noodles. Then after we had found out how to make them we had to to try them. This was a really fun experiences.

Vietnam

In Vietnam, we learnt how to make fresh Vietnamese spring rolls. The first thing we had to do was wash our hands. Then we were able to start to make our spring rolls. The first thing we had to do was pick out our fillings to go in the spring roll, the second thing we had to do was dip the rice paper in room temperature water. Next we had to put our filling in side the wet rice paper and the last thing we had to do was roll it up. Then we got to eat it and it was really yummy.

Hawaii 

In Hawaii we learnt to do a traditional Hawaiian dance called pearly shells.

Drink to think think to drink and eat play learn (PMI charts)

Drink to think, think to drink.
Is when we have our own drink bottles and they stay at school and we have a challenge that is we have to drink 1 bottle before lunch the 1 bottle after lunch.

Play,Eat,Learn .

Is when when play before we eat.

Robotics

 The Wonder bot was when we used the I pad to make it move, The wonder bot can also make noses and can also talk to you like a human would.

Circuits is when you have instruction and you follow them to make something that you might use everyday, like in the photo this is a timer and most people use it everyday.

Bloxes is when you make a design with the blocks, then you take a picture on the I pad. After that you play a video game with the Character  you have design.

Bee bot is when we push the buttons to code the back of it  to make it move in the direction we want it to. It moves that many step of how many times we push that button.

VR head set  when you put in a phone that has a special  app and there is an app that lots of seance the seance we were doing was dinosaurs  and a jungle

Team Building

In week 3 we did team building, our groups were  made up of 4 to 5 people. For team  building we went to 4 teachers they all had  a different challenge for us to complete. 

 1.  The first challenge was making a bed  so it would hold a bag of 7  books and a cup of  water and it  would  be cosy for the person that is using it, we had to use  news paper string and a metre of tape.


2. The second challenge was to make a paper chain, out of paper and 1 metre of tape to see who could make the longest chain

3.  The third challenge was to stack cups in a pyramid  shape but we couldn't use our body we only had 5 pieces of string and a rubber band

4.  The last challenge was to make a tower that was free standing tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows.

My favourite challenge was the paper chain challenge.

Goldielocks and the three lions

This is a rewritten piece of Goldie locks and the three bears.

This is a drat piece so it may contain some errors.

Long long ago,their was a girl and her name was Goldilocks referring to her long golden locks of hair. One day she decided to go for a walk deep into the forest,she had got in pretty far into the forest when she came upon a house. Which she thought was strange to have a house in the middle of nowhere. So she decided to make a song about  the house in the middle of nowhere so she went and sat under a nice and shady tree.  This is how the song  went  as it is still none to this very day  “once there was a house in the middle of nowhere,which I found on a sunny day it look nice and cosy and  warm and pretty,once there was a house in the middle of nowhere in the middle of  nowhere and that's where it stands this very old day’ when she had finished making her song she decided to see if anybody was home so she knocked on the door rat a tat rat came the old wooden door there was no answer so Goldilocks decided to venture on in. When she walked in she saw the kitchen on the kitchen table was some meat then Goldilocks thought to herself I’m hungry this meat looks like a pretty good snack so she decided to try the first piece of meat “ho ho hot too hot” she exclaimed so she tried the next one “bree bree”,freezing said as she shrived. So on to the next on she said to herself “ah perfected”,she said excitedly so she decided to eat it all up after that she was feeling tired so she found the living room and sat on the first chair “this chair is too big and too hard ”she said so she hopped down out of that chair and climbed onto the next “this chair is to big to and is way to soft,” she said loudly so she climb off that one on sat on the next “ah this is perfect,”she said excitedly then crash the chair broke “oops,”said Goldilocks she was feeling sleepy by then so she decided to go up stairs  to the beds she lay on the first bed to hot to hard,”said Goldilocks uncomfortably so she tried the next bed “to cold to soft,”said Goldilocks very awkwardly so she try the next one “perfect,”she said bouncing on the bed so she climbed in and crashed she had gone straight to sleep that's how tired she was as Goldilocks was sleeping the three lions had returned to their house “Someone's been eating my meat,”said Dada lion with a roar “someone's been eating my meat,”said mama lion with a growl “Someone's been eating my meat and therefore gobbled it all up,” said baby cub with a very quiet growl Someone's been sitting in my chair,”said Dada bear very loudly meaning he was angry “Someone's been sitting in my chair,”said mama bear trying to calm herself Someone's been sitting in my chair and there broken it,”said baby cub in tears “Someone's been in my bed,”said Dada bear in anger with even more anger “Someone's been in my bed,” said mama now not very calmly Someone's been in my bed and they're still here,”shouted baby cub in a worried look At that very moment Goldilocks a wake to a yell for help at the same time she flew down the stairs and out the door in one big rush not dearing to look back until she back safe and sound her little old vintage looking village  then after that day she never went back into the depths of the forest so she would never be tempted to go back into the house always keep your eyes peeled for loins because their still looking for Goldilocks but as she is not alive they are looking for nobody but they don’t know that so if you have golden blonde hair with big curly locks  watch as they are looking for you

Chapter 1

Walking home

Once there was two friend’s, they were the best of friend and their names were Sophie and Emma. One day after school they were walking home, they were just about to  cross the crossing then  BOOM! Sophie got hit by a car.”Sophie are you alright,that car was not looking where it was going! Exclaimed Emma,” Sophie did not reply, it was a good thing that there was a lot of other people around, about ten people that came to help including a nice lady who was ringing an ambulance and another lady  asking the crowd to back away and asking Emma some questions like “what is her name? My name is Lucy” Emma replied with “her name is Sophie and my name is Emma”  “what lovely names, how old is Sophie,” said Lucy“she is 11  and I've just turned 12,” said Emma “do you know her mums phone number?” said Lucy “yes I do it is 91283746,” said Emma “OK thanks i’ll ring her right now”, said Lucy as Lucy was ringing Sophie's mum the other lady  said ”hi my name is Elsie and I have rang the ambulance and they should be here soon” “hi my name is Emma and that is my friend Sophie”,said Emma “ i have rang Sophie's mum and she will be her in 3 minutes”,said Lucy

Chapter 2

Arriving

“Here comes Sophie's mum”,said Emma “great and that looks like the ambulance”,said  Lucy and Elsie together “hi my name is Alana and that is my daughter Sophie”, said Alana in near tears “it’s all right”,said Elsie comforting Alana the ambulance arrived and  are now talking to Alana  

“Hello my name is jazzy and I am the person that will be in the ambulance with you one other person that you can choose to go in the ambulance with us”,said jazzy “I think that Emma would love to come”,said Alana giving her a nudge “OK but mum will be worried about me”,said Emma with a smile “that's all right i will give her a ring and tell her where you are and what you’re doing”,said Alana “OK thanks I wouldn't want to miss the ambulance ride with my best friend,” that's all right,”exclaimed   “is it alright to go on the ambulance now,”said jazzy oh ops we sure can we must have got caught up talking so much,”said Alana  on the way to the hospital then when they go there they met a new lady called Millie who was the doctor and another new lady called lulu who was the nurse both lovely nice ladies

Chapter three

At the hospital

“2 people can stay the night at the hospital if they want,”said Millie “can you  come with me to have  a private conversation,”said Alana to  Sophia who has just arrived at the hospital “sure thing Alana,”said Sophia “would you mind if emma stayed the night at the hospital and not go to school tomorrow because Lulu the nurse came and said to me just before that Sophie will have to have an operation tomorrow because she has some brain damage but it can be fixed with surgery,”said Alana trying to be hopeful “it’s going to be all right and I think it will be fine for Emma to be missing one day of sch and her teacher can always send here what they did at school because they do have all this high tech stuff which i have hardly an idea on how it works sometimes,”both ladies having a laugh “well it is getting late i’ll go and tell Emma  what the plan is.

Here is my story for my treasure  family treasure is my Great Grandad Dave's pocket watch which is from Germany the black forest, which he lived in and was his home country.The pocket watch is gold and had a glass top and is in roman numerals it had a stopwatch and a clock to count the seconds. This is precise to my Dad’s family as it has  been past down his side of the family for many generations,first it went to my grandad Dave yes they do have the same name then it went to my dad whose name is clay. One day I hope it will be mine and that I will take good care of it.
