Commonwealth games report

History -
Netball was first played in england in 1895,It soon became a worldwide game
Netball became a sport in the commonwealth games in 1998.
There was no standard rules at that time so they played nine aside and five aside version games.
The first commonwealth games that netball was won by  Australia.
If you wanted to play netball in the 1895’s you had to be 21 years or older to play
But since then the the rules have changed and you have to be 16 or older.
They had the same positions as they have now which are
Wing Defence, Wing Attack, Goal Shoot, Goal Defence, Center,  Goalkeeper ,
and some subs so this means about 8 people in a team.
In the commonwealth game New Zealand netball has won 2 gold 3 silver and 0 bronze.

 So we have come to the end of our history time but we still have thinks for you.  

What they do in the game -  
WA - makes sure the other them can’t get the ball and look for shooting opertenites
WD - She defends the wa so they can’t get the ball and look for interceptions
GS - Works nere the semi circle or in the semi circle with the GA to shoot
GA - Works with the GS to shoot and get hops
GD - Defends the GA so their interceptions can’t get the ball to shoot
GK - makes sure the other team can’t shoot and get goals  
C -  dose everything apart from shooting
